Tiger Woods’ Losing Reputation Among Women

Tiger Woods is coming back with his golf clubs! Yesterday he shot a Nike commercial in his black and red outfit. It’s truely exciting to people around the world, and it had stirred the media, at least I thought so. But now it seems I should not be so optimistic. 

It is all because of Mr.Woods’ ex-marital scandle which has annoyed especially women. There are people in blogs talking about Woods’ comeback and why his chose Augusta, not other golf clubs, which is a women exclusive Golf Event as a spot for his return.

Tiger Woods was worrying about what kind of reception he would have at Masters. He now can get the answer from a recent survey shows Tiger Woods has not got as much support as we thought.

Aaron Kuriloff of Bloomberg News reports on a Seton Hall Sports poll which shows that most Americans weren’t going to watch the Masters even if Angelina Jolie was paired with Jennifer Aniston.

The presence of the world’s top-ranked player at Augusta National Golf Club will make no difference to the viewing plans of 77 percent of those surveyed. Only 11 percent of women will be rooting for Woods, compared with 18 percent of men. Another 75 percent said they had no preference.

“Women are not as embracing about his return or about his winning, which is not surprising, given the nature of his scandal,” Rick Gentile, director of the poll, said in a news release.

 

The poll notes that Masters TV ratings are expected to increase by 16 percent. A big number, but the MASH finale will still be safe in the ratings records.

 

Perhaps Mr.Woods has to win back his reputation by giving his fans a fantastic performance not throwing his golf clubs to the ground.
